If people like this setup I'll knock up some rough mods of all cars, or for a quick fix you can change these values found in the Setup.lol's: car:SetFrontCriticalAngle (6) & car:SetRearCriticalAngle (6), to something between (0.7) - (1.0) though other settings need messing with also, as changing car:SetCriticalAngle's makes a fairly fundamental difference.Įdit: A few more handling tweaks to Snaky & KVN, also now including the Structure files, allowing minor deformation to weapons and very minor deformation to the engines.Īlso a link to a tool by Trent, for launching the game with zad-0 tag, and to unpack the game data for modding: In my opinion these setups make the cars handle more realistically, mainly by making it feel like traction is lost at the rear wheels as opposed to the centre of the car, thereby removing the 'driving on ice' factor, unfortunately you can't play career mode with these setups.Īnyways the cars I've modded are Snaky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ & KVN Toucan, give um a go and see what you think. ![]() I've edited a number of cars handling files and have gotten two cars to a stage I'm fairly happy with, but are not final setups as I've still got some to learn about what settings do what. I love Carmageddon Max Damage, I'm not gonna pretend the handling is perfect, because it's not, I didn't mind the way cars pivot like on ice because it's challenging n I dig a challenge, though what I don't dig is the 'hack' in the physics to get the cars to handle like they do, it introduces a 'notch' in the weight distribution that's very evedent when using a analogue pad to do some smooth cornering or minor adjustments.
